What is the price of the initial consultation?

An initial consultation with Dr. Schultz costs $300. The initial consultation fee for other providers is credited against future care.

Can you provide pricing for specific services?

We have found that it is not helpful to provide pricing over the phone. Our concierge level of dermatologic care ensures that you receive the proper attention, care, and service necessary to solve your skin care problems and achieve your cosmetic goals. We cannot collect sufficient information over the phone to provide an accurate price, which misleads expectations. Instead, we recommend visiting for an initial consultation so that we can provide you with the best care and estimates possible.

Does Dr. Schultz offer weekend appointments?

Dr. Schultz does not offer weekend hours, however, he or another medical provider on his team is always available for a medical emergency.

Does Dr. Schultz have any late-day hours?

What are Dr. Schultz’s Friday hours?

Dr. Schultz does not work every Friday, and the Fridays that he does work, his office hours end at 1p EST. However, his wonderfully experienced team of Physician’s Assistants and Nurses are available all day Friday to provide medical care and the services you’re seeking even if Dr. Schultz is not in the office at that time. These providers also offer separate pricing.

In addition to Dr. Schultz, we have a wonderfully experienced team of Physician’s Assistants and Nurses who have been training under Dr. Schultz for decades and who can offer many of the services that Dr. Schultz does. If Dr. Schultz is not available, we highly recommend your exploring the availability of these other provides, as well as their differentiated pricing.

How should I prepare for my cosmetic appointment?

We ask that you arrive to the office with a clean, makeup-free face on the day of your appointment. If you have makeup on, we can of course help you remove it. You should expect to detail your current skincare regimen and medications so we may best tailor our recommendations and treatments to give you the most desirable outcome.

Will I have downtime after cosmetic treatments?

Cosmetic services do not typically require downtime. Our signature no-downtime peel lives up to its name allowing you to apply makeup immediately after and does not require any special care post-treatment. There is always a chance of bruising following cosmetic injections. If you are to bruise, this typically resolves in 3-5 days and can be covered with makeup.

Can I have cosmetic treatments on the day of my initial consultation?

Absolutely! Your treatment plan can begin on the day of your initial cosmetic consultation. In some cases, we may recommend that we space out your initial treatments into two or more visits to give you the best result.

Do we take medical insurance as a form of payment?

We do not accept insurance as a form of payment. However, we do encourage you to submit our invoices to your insurance provider in an effort to procure any level of reimbursement you are entitled to.

Do we submit your invoices to insurance or do you have to?

Unfortunately, we will not submit your invoice to insurance. However, we will provide you with the invoice required by the insurance company that you can submit yourself.

Are laser treatments safe?

Lasers are safe and effective only when operated by licensed, trained professionals. Dr. Neal Schultz was at the forefront of cosmetic laser use, with over 25 years of experience utilizing them to improve his patients’ skin. His staff also has extensive experience and certifications—in addition to being mentored and trained by Dr. Schultz. In our practice, only Nurses, Physician Assistants, or Dr. Schultz perform laser treatments. Prior to every laser treatment, your skin will be assessed to ensure safe, effective treatment. The laser treatment will also be specifically tailored to you to further ensure safe and outstanding outcomes.

How should I prepare for my laser appointment?

You should arrive to the office with a clean, makeup-free face. Of course, if you have makeup on, we can help you remove it. If you are having laser hair removal, please arrive with the area to be treated cleanly, closely shaven and free of any lotions or creams. In addition, you should avoid waxing or tweezing your hair in the treatment area for four weeks prior to treatment. We also ask that you avoid using any prescription retinoids or products containing retinol for a minimum of three days prior to your appointment. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion should be avoided for two weeks prior to your appointment unless otherwise directed by our providers.

Will I have downtime after my laser procedure?

While some laser treatments will require you to avoid sun exposure or leave you with a few days of social downtime, not all laser procedures require downtime. Your expectations for recovery time will be discussed in detail during your consultation and revisited at the time of treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on your concern and the laser needed to address this concern, treatments can range from a single treatment to upwards of 6 - 8 treatments. You will be given an estimate of how many treatments you may need at the time of your appointment. While we would love to be able to give you an exact number over the phone, each individual is different and you need to be assessed in person to receive an accurate estimate.
